On this episode of #CrackYourBible, we’re talking about the power of legalism, peer pressure and pride. Even the strongest believers, from Abraham to Paul succumbed to the pull of wanting to please others and keep or restore destroyed relationships. The need to please people, combined with the pride of this flesh is dangerous territory when the flesh goes against the promptings of the Holy Spirit. If you don’t develop your prayer life, specifically that of praying in the Spirit and speaking in tongues, how can you know that you’re in line with God’s specific will for your life? Don’t deceive yourself!

-We wrestle against the powers of this dark world. Ephesians 6:12
-At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to Him. Hebrews 2:5-9
-Jesus will gather His people together for war for about half an hour. Revelation 8:1
-The Kingdom of the World has become the Kingdom of our Lord. Revelation 11:15
-There will be a new heaven and a new earth. Revelation 21:1-4
-We must renew our minds daily. Romans 12:2
-Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
-Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees. Acts 23:6
-Saul, who became Paul, persecuted the church. Acts 8:1-3
-John, the son of Zebedee, had been put to death by Herod. Acts 12:1-4
-Jesus had a half brother named James. Matthew 13:53-58
-Jesus’ brothers did not initially believe in HIm. John 7:5
-Whoever DOES the will of God in Heaven is family. Matthew 12:46-50, Luke 8:19-21
-Jesus’ family claimed that He was crazy. Mark 3:20-21
-Stephen prayed, interceded, for Saul and the other men who were stoning him. Acts 7:58-60
-Jesus confronted Saul on the road to Damascus. Acts 9:1-5
-When in gentile territory, Paul had no problem confronting legalism and pride in Peter. Galatians 2:11-14
-Jesus said His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
-Peter faltered, even though he was the rock that Jesus said He’d build the congregation upon. Matthew 16:18
-Peter said that the yoke of the law was too heavy to bear. Acts 15:5-11
-We’re to discipline our body and keep it under control. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
-The Holy Spirit warned Paul in every city. Acts 20:22-24
-The prophet Agabus warned Paul not to go to Jerusalem. Acts 21:8-12
-James wanted Paul to live in observance of the Law. Acts 21:18-24
-Paul’s completed sacrifice would have trampled underfoot the Son of God and the blood of the covenant. Hebrews 10:29
-After a riot at the Temple, Paul was led to Ft. Antonia in chains. Acts 21:26-33
