On this episode of #CrackYourBible, we’re talking about lust and attraction. Too often men and women, as children, are taught that they must bear the burden of the sexual sin of other people – which is not only completely inappropriate to tell a child, it’s 100% scripturally INACCURATE! The culture that surrounds modesty and purity teaches a different gospel and raises men to think of women as Jezebels who are out to drag them into sexual temptation, while girls are taught to view boys as animals who can’t control their desire to rape. This is a lie of Satan meant to divide and conquer the Body of Christ. Beware!

-The verb “epithumeo” can be translated as covet, strong desire or lust – none of which necessarily have a sexual meaning. This verb is found in Matthew 5:28, Luke 17:22 and Romans 7:7, amongst others.
-God doesn’t tempt people, do claiming that your innate sex drive is God’s way of tempting you is incorrect. James 1:13-15
