Sometimes we are blessed in our desperate moments, even if we get broken in the process. We’ll learn from Jacob and the fight that transforms his life.
In Genesis 32 Jacob finds himself in an impossible situation. Laban is behind him and Esau is in front of him. He fears for his life and it seems that this time he can’t manipulate or maneuver his way out of the situation. The night before he knows he will face Esau and Esau’s 400 men is a long, dark night. He is desperate. In that desperate moment he is visited by The Angel of the Lord, and Jacob wrestles with the Angel.
