Today on #CrackYourBible, we’re talking about the metaphor of refining your faith, in the context of the story of Abram. God promised big things to Abram, but He also required great sacrifice. But why? If God could do anything, why did Abram have to go through any trials? Because God is refining you to make you a useful tool – if you’ll allow Him to use you!

From the Bible we know that:
God told Abram to leave everything in Haran. Genesis 12:1
God promised to make Abram a great nation, and that He would bless Abram and that Abram would bless others. Genesis 12:2-3
The genuineness of our faith is refined when we are tested. 1 Peter 1:6-7
Suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Romans 5:1-5
