Have you noticed that sometimes nothing much seems to be happening in your situation? You have done everything you can, but you just seem to be waiting and waiting? Why does our timing rarely sync up with God’s timing? In fact, God is more interested in our journey and how we walk with Him because time actually forms us to become the person God has called us to be.

What can we say to God that He doesn’t already know?

We need to stop being so active even in very good things and sit quietly in His presence every day. God is calling us to experience a deeper, living water, a life surrendered to Him. We can do this by being active in our lives but always coming back to drink from the fountain again and again. Contemplation leads us into God and the peace that we then experience will be with us in those hard days when we think we are just waiting and helpless.
