Hearing God in the Mundane – Bruce Downes The Catholic Guy

In this video

Just like being moved along in the current at the beach, our lives are not stagnant; we continually move in and out of many seasons. Sometimes worry, disappointments, commitments and distractions take us away from where we are meant to be. In Matthew 6:25-33 we are reminded that, ‘today’s trouble is enough for today.’ God invites us to spend time with him every day and always be in exactly the place he is calling us to be. There are four things we can do to stay fresh:

(1) Have a prayer life – a relationship where we reflect and discuss what God is asking of us each day,
(2) Daily listening – regular confirmation of what God is asking of us;
(3) Scripture. It always lifts us up;
(4) Viewing failure as temporary. God has a plan to prosper us.

If we do these things we can be assured that we are in the place where God wants us to be.
